On May 25th 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will be in affect. If you are making business in the European Union (EU) or you process the personal data of EU citizens, you will be affected by GDPR.

The GDPR forces you to obtain freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous consent from your mail list members. You also must clearly explain what you are going to do with the collected personal data.

To help you comply with the GDPR, we added some features to your Sendloop account. For example, one you enable GDPR compliancy for a subscriber list, your opt-in forms will become GDPR-friendly for getting opt-in consent.

Important: No matter where your business is located, if you are storing and processing personal data of a EU citizen, you are obliged to comply with the GDPR.

Important Notice

Enabling GDPR functionality on your subscriber lists doesn't make you 100% compliant with the GDPR. Please read GDPR very carefully to learn about steps you need to take. Collecting GDPR-friendly consent from your subscribers is the first step. You need to segment them and also request consent from your existing subscribers.

GDPR functionality will work with hosted subscribe pages. It's your responsibility to update your embedded and custom subscribe forms on your website, Facebook page, etc.

Sendloop never offers legal advice. Sendloop offers a set of tools and features to help you become GDPR compliant. We kindly recommend you contact your legal advisor to learn more about how the GDPR affects you.
